Final Game!

     My final game is finished! It has three complete levels and I am pretty glad its finally done. I'm not stressed about getting it finished now, thank goodness. I have it uploaded to the wiki and to my team page. We are now fixing up our game demos and making them look better. Globaloria is not over yet! 

GAME! (:

     Well, we have to have our games finished by May 15! I am so not ready yet! I still need about two whole levels that need to be finished! It is kind of stressing me out a little. I just hope that I can work fast enough so that I get it finished and have a chance at winning the STEM contest! If not, that would be okay though. I'm going to have to work very hard to get everything finished in time! Everyone in my class has been working really hard trying to get their game done, and I think everything will turn out great! Here is what I have done of my game! I also have a few other scenes finished but I dont have them added to my game yet.   

Presintation!

      Well, I did my presintation and I think I did pretty good! I'm glad it's finally over with and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I actually like giving presintations, and I plan to do more. At the beginning of the year I was very shy, but Globaloria has most defiantally got me out of that! I have had to do a lot of things in front of my class and it doesn't bother me at all anymore. Globaloria has been so good for me, it has especially helped me with my typing and how to work computers a lot better!! Globaloria has been such a great thing for me and I'm glad I got the opportunity to be in this class!

Demo Problem..

     We are having a problem trying to get ours game demo presintation finished. The days we tried to do it the computers at our school got messed up. We have yet to reschedule it. I was ready to give my presintation that day! But now, as the time goes on I'm starting to get more and more nervous! I don't want to mess up at all, but I probably will. I am confident in my presintation though because I have everything finished and ready to go! I am pretty excited to just do it and get it over with! :)

My game!

     I have the beginning of my game finished! I have the first level completely done, and I'm so exited! It really didn't take me very long because I already had my paper prototype ready. I had my idea already planned out and then I just had to transfer it into flash! I basically onlt had to use the button code, so it was somewhat easy. I hope the rest of my game is that easy to finish! (:

GAME DEMO!

     My game demo was most defanatly a challenge. I took my a while to do it because everything kept going wrong. My first try was fine, until I realized I had way to many layers and that they kept doubling. So, I went ahead and just re-did it. It turns out that was for the best. The second time was pretty good. Everything was working perfectly until....I went to go make a button on scene seven. I realized that the button was some how inbeded into the background and it wouldn't let me delete it! I decided to just re-do that scene and then place it back into tha game demo. That worked really well and now I'm finished with it. It may have took a while but I am done with it now and very happy!

Flash won't work!

     I am having trouble because we have to keep getting switched into different computer labs! In the different labs, most of the time flash won't work for me. I am starting to get behind because it will never work. I hate when I get behind because it is very hard to get caught back up, all the way at least. We need flash to work the most right now because we are going to have to present our game demos soon! It is going to be hard to get my game demo finished because I had to restart! I almost had it finished but then it back fired. I kept having problems, and my teacher said that it would be easier to just start over! I hope I get it finished in time though!

Adding Sound! (:

     I had a lot fun making my adding sound! I made it on a scene where you come too level two! When you move your mouse across the "next level" button, it makes a "ta da!" noise! I had fun when I made it though. I liked looking for the sound that I wanted, and was excited when I found it! I am planning on adding more sound too my game in the future!

Adding Buttons!

      During the process of my adding buttons blog, I had a lot of trouble. I didn't put my objects in the right layer when I was making it. Therefore, I had to redo it. But, once I redone it...I got it to work very well. When you go across the buttons, they turn a different color. When you click on the correct one..it goes to a GREAT scene!

Adding Input : Keyboard (:

      I think adding input : keyboard was fun to do! On mine, you had too use your keyboard to move the ribbon across the correct answer. It was easy to do at first, but then I had trouble getting it to go to the next scene. Eventually I got it, and it looks so cool now! The code was soooo easy because I already had it in one of my past scenes. I'm now working on my next adding input scene. I just haven't decided what I want to do it on yet!

Can you make a symbol on flash, a button and a movie clip?

     I had some trouble with this! I wanted my answer to move and for the player to be able to click on it at the same time! Although, I did not know how! After a lot of thinking and a whole bunch of help from my teacher we figured it out. Yes, it is possible to make it a button AND a movie clip! It looks so good now, and I'm very excited about it. I love when I work on something for a while and I finally get it, its the best feeling ever! To feel accompished....its great!

Forgetting to do my blogs! :(

    I always forget to do my blogs. We started this new rule, that we ahve to blog at least once every week or you get a zero for that week on your blog. It is really hard for me to keep up because I always forget when I did my last one. I need to start remembering so that I do not get anymore zeros! :( Zeros can kill your grade and I do NOT want that!

Glaobaloria; How far I've come!

      I have came very far in globaloria class! I started out with just making my wiki and having no idea how to work with flash. But, now I am starting on my game...and making my scenes do amazing affects! Some days in globaloria I feel sooooo stressed out, because I can't get anything to work out. But, on other days, I walk out feeling great and accomplished because what I was working
I either finished or made a lot more progress. Globaloria is an amazing experience, but sometimes I hate it because it is a whole lot of work. I've realized that all of this work is going to be worth it in the end! I'm glad that I took on this experience, because not everyone got the chance too! :) 

Snow Days! (:

     We are having another bad winter, so that means..NO SCHOOL! I love when we have bad winters, because I love snow! The only thing bad about it is, they might have too take away from our summer. :( I also don't like getting behind in globaloria, because then we have too do the work extra fast! Which is so hard. I wish I had flash at home, so I could work on it and always stay caught
 up but I don't. But, I still love snow days.
Hopefully we have more! :)

CHRISTMAS BREAK! (:

     I had a great Christmas Break! On the 17th I went on a trip to New York City! I stayed for four days and it was amazing, when I got back here there was only one day of school left until Christmas Break. So, I didnt go to school for a while because of the break and my trip. At the beginning of my break I didn't really do much, but by the end of it I was pretty busy. I had a great Christmas and a very good New Year, and glad I can now say its 2011. For Christmas one of the things I got was a new laptop, and I have been on it constantly, I love it! I had such a good Christmas Break and I'm sad its over. :(
